MITCHELL, Garvin C., 82, of Saint Cloud, passed away on Tuesday, March 9th, 2010 at Saint Cloud Regional Medical Center. Garvin was born in Handcock, Michigan on August 18, 1927, the son of the late Garvin P. and Elsa Mitchell. He was an office manager for Westinghouse in Muncie Indiana for 20 years. Garvin was a member of the American Legion in Chesterfield, IN., and a member of the VFW and Eagles Lodge in Anderson, IN. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman First Class during WW II. He is survived by his wife Betty J. (Kendall) Mitchell; four daughters: Angela R. wife of Richard Brandon of Fort Lauderdale, FL., Patricia D wife of Jerry Smothers of Atlanta, IN., Vicki K. wife of David Pierce of Breeding, KY., Terrina L Asbell of Anderson, IN; three sons: John G. husband of Denise Mitchell of Austin, TX., Edward M. husband of Flora Russell of Orlando, FL. , Monty C. husband of Brenda Russell of Anderson, IN; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joanne, wife of Larry Watson of Kalamazoo, MI.
